Will Ferrell In Town for Talledega Nights

He may have been strange about having his picture taken at the airport but Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were in excellent form for last night’s film premiere in Sydney which saw the city’s most energetic party-goers including Tom Williams ready for their moment on the red carpet.

The Devil Wears Prada After-Party at Crystal, Sydney

Sydney’s fab fashion pack put on their best summer clothes for Tuesday night’s special preview of The Devil Wears Prada which was hosted by Cosmo Magazine. TV sweetie Amy Erbacher was the most stylish frontrunner in this season’s hot pants.

Nokia 8800 Launch - Centennial Park

They’re calling it the new Cointreau Ball. The launch of the Nokia top of the line Sirocco mobile was definitely one of the most ambitious parties hosted in Sydney for some time. It involved a huge marquee being set up in the middle of the park and 11 hugely creative types including Catherine Martin aka Mrs Baz Luhrmann, style guru Collete Garnsey, fab knitter, John Macarthur and uber gardener, Jamie Durie creating their own table settings and guest lists. There were different themes for every table. Jamie’s guests on the Land Rover table sat on a giant swings over a water feature, Stefano Canturi’s were bedecked with diamonds (he had two security guards on standby) - there were tables filled with antiques from Country Trader and dead animal skin rugs on the Hermes environment.

Huge coup of the night was the appearance of Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch on Catherine Martin’s table. “It’s the first time we’ve been out to a party like this in ages, ‘’ Sarah said. “And I can’t believe we’re here for a phone launch.'’ Sexiest couple of the night was Manon Youdale and new boyfriend, Jean Philippe Carriol (who was to have married his American Korean fiancee earlier this year before it was all called off), Manon and JP were spotted passionately kissing behind John Macarthur’s kitsch 1950s kitchen setting. The most outrageous identity was Vogue’s Grant Pearce in an out of Africa getup, who kept table hopping with a sword in his hand.

Melbourne’s hottest nightclub and owner Nick Russian along with his brother, Daniel hosted some entry level celebutantes at Eve during the weekend including Big Brother’s Claire and Axle Whitehead - who seems to live there.

Lance Franklin also headed for the VIP mosh pit to see Tania Doko playing live with her new band, Joy Lab.
